Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui, Thailand

I must say Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui in Thailand has got to be one of my favorite beaches in Thailand it's approximately 7 km long, making it the longest beach on the east coast with outstanding soft white sand great to walk on have a lay or simply sit in your deck chair with a icy cold beer listening to the music of your choice but if your feeling energetic there is always that morning or evening jog which you would immensely enjoy the beauty of the clear crystal blue waters and it's nature scenery of coconut trees that line the beach.

While on the beach, many vendors will stop and offer beverages, fruit, ice cream and local Thai food cooked on small portable BBQ's. These vendors are polite, if you do not want anything, a simple "no thank you" will see them on their way. A variety of local crafts and Thai souvenirs are also available.

Chaweng Beach attracts a diverse range of travellers, from your young "hippie" backpackers, international school and university students, sporting teams, singles, couples, honeymooners, wedding party's and families. I had the opportunity of seeing a wedding ceremony been set up while taking a walk along the beach most ideal place for a wedding beautiful photogenic scenery.

And after a most gorgeous day rolling around in all that white sand and swimming with the tropical fish it's time for a night cocktail back at our beautiful hotel on the mountain to observe that astounding sunset.
